How does Kubence protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with state and federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
How does Kubence collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when:
  • Your advisor selects us as a sub-advisor and provides us with access to your portfolio information
  • You open an account with us through our website
  • We buy or sell securities for your account
Why can't I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only:
  • Sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes - information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for non-affiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Definitions

Affiliates Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
  • Marine Layer Advisors LLC, Marine Layer Capital, LLC, and Bengal Impact Partners LLC.
Non-affiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
  • Custodians selected by our investment advisor clients, such as Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and Interactive Brokers. We share information with these entities only to provide services to clients and not for marketing purposes.
Joint marketing A formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
  • Kubence LLC does not jointly market.

Other Important Information

Information for California Customers

In response to California law, we automatically treat accounts with California billing addresses as if you do not want to disclose personal information about you to non-affiliated third parties except as permitted by applicable California law. We will also limit the sharing of personal information about you with our affiliates to comply with all California privacy laws that apply to us.
